ABOUT

Paracosm Recording is an independent recording studio in Van Nuys, CA owned by founders Henrik Linde and Kate Strand.

 

We focus mainly on independent artists in varying fringe genres of music and specialize in Rock, Punk, Hardcore and Metal. 

 

Our main goal is to help the artist achieve their vision, whether it is an organic and raw sound or a tight polished production. We provide tracking, mixing, mastering, re-amping services, full-scale album production, film scores and custom commercial tracks.

 

We have recently worked with highly regarded musicians such as Robert Deleo (Stone Temple Pilots) and Tim Armstrong (Rancid) as well as bands ranging in style from underground punk (The Lungs) to indie experimental rock (The Vitals) to singer-songwriters and country artists (Anders Mouridsen). 

 

We have also worked commercially for major brands including Who What Wear, Macys, Byrdie, My Domaine, Tumi,  Bare Minerals, Healthy Choice, Laura Mercier, Pandora, Chandon, Ulta, Origins, Lycra and Zappos. 

We aim to foster a collaborative effort while maintaining a professional standard that could easily surpass many highly-ranked studios in Los Angeles.
